Arcadio “Jhojho” Moraga was born in the Philippines and spent most of his early life in Meycauayan, Bulacan. At the ripe age of 13 he developed a liking to the arts and had but banana trees to practice on and movies to teach him the way. He has come a long way since then.

His parents moved to the USA in the early eighties and he along with two siblings came right after them. This move opened a whole new opportunity for him to learn the arts as he gained access to the world’s most renowned experts: Remy Presas ( Escrima), Hock Hochheim (Kempo), John Pelligrini (Hapkido) and John Thompson, to name a few. Sifu Jho has also attended multiple seminars including a seminar presented by Sifu Jerry Poteet that he had the honor of attending. Sifu Jho's acheivements include a second degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu, second degree black belt in Combat Hapkido, black belt in Eskrima, second degree black belt in Kempo and Certification as a Jeet Kune Do Instructor.

His coaching humbly started in his partner’s garage. The students grew to a number that lead him to open a school at Frankfort, Illinois in the year 2002. Jho-Boun Martial Arts started out as a Jeet Kune Do centered school, which is famed by its founder, Bruce Lee. The curriculum expanded as the demand for his various expertise grew. He along with his instructor and partner now teach women’s self-defense, street fighting, and competitive mixed martial arts. His enrollees range from toddlers to older adults. He enthusiastically trains his students with the way of the arts and instills in them the essentials of the intercepting fist. Along with the movements are the real life application and lifetime relevance of the fundamentals and discipline of martial arts.

It has been over twenty three exciting years of living with the discipline now. Along with his school’s success is his marriage to a loving wife and fatherhood to two wonderful boys, with whom he hopes to pass on this continuing legacy of the arts.
